Here is a John Neeman video showing how a peeling drawknife is used. It's been a long while since I've posted anything, and it seemed like a good day for some !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . As an added bonus there is some Land Rover in the background.

As someone who's used these on fir and ponderosa, I will not rest until all drawknives have been beaten into swords that slay those who want to decorate with hand-peeled logs.

When I was a kid my dad built a log house. We went "up north," cut the trees, dragged them back via truck and tractor, and he used draw knives on every log.
I should put together a post on that project....

Those things are fun. I was peeling Juniper logs for a friend building a house. Got so carried away, I peeled like 8-10 more than he needed. Oops.

I totally remember having those drink coolers. Everyone had one of those when I was a kid.

That would definitely be cool to see. Every time I watch one of these videos or see cool projects like that I get inspired but feel useless at the same time.

You're telling me. My dad was/is so much more of a bad ass than I'll ever be lol.
Working on post now. Got a doc appointment, but I'll get it done later.
